Cabosil: Choose this when strength, bonding and a non-sagging resin mixture are the priority.
Cabosil is a lightweight fumed silica powder used to thicken resin for surfboard building and repair. Mix it into epoxy or polyester resin to create a thicker, non-sagging consistency that's easier to control and stays where you put it.
Especially useful for fin box and leash plug installations, filling gaps and voids, bonding, repairs, and vertical applications where straight resin would tend to run or sag.
Add Cabosil gradually until you reach the consistency needed for the job.
Great for: Fin boxes, leash plugs, bonding, gap filling, ding repair, and general surfboard construction.
A surfboard shop essential when you need to turn liquid resin into a strong, workable paste.
